Learn about stringingTry before you buy. Borrow up to two racquets at a time, free of charge, for up to three days. It's the best way to find the right frame — no guessing, no regrets. Lost or damaged demos are charged at full retail plus strings.
How demos workAl keeps a list of trusted teaching pros he recommends. Whether you're picking up a racquet for the first time or chasing a rating bump, he'll point you to the right coach for your game.
Get a referralAl isn't running a big-box catalog. He's here, in the shop, every day. He knows the players, he knows the gear, and he gives you a straight answer — not a pitch.
When your racquet needs stringing, you're handing it to a certified Master Racquet Technician, not a part-timer with a stringing machine and a YouTube tutorial. That matters when your arm or your game is on the line.
New to tennis? Al's helped plenty of beginners find their footing. Competitive player? He's set up tournament racquets for those too. Whoever you are, you get the same attention.
The United States Racquet Stringers Association's Master Racquet Technician (MRT) designation is among the highest credentials a stringer can earn. It requires passing written and practical exams covering stringing mechanics, tension calibration, and racquet physics.
Al also holds USRSA Certified Stringer status. When you bring a racquet to Al's, it's being handled by someone who took the time to get it right.
We stock the racquets and strings that players actually use — from club level to the pros.

Al features actual local customers — tennis and racquetball players from the community. Not stock photos. Real people.
Most tennis shops use stock photos. Al uses pictures of actual players. Photos are published only with the player's okay.
See the player photosTennis For Fun is a free clinic program for athletes with special needs. Al runs these clinics because tennis should be accessible to everyone — not just players who can afford the gear or the lessons.
The shop accepts donations of gently used racquets, balls, shoes, and clothes. Al restrings and regrips donated gear at no charge, then donates it to participants.
If you have gear sitting in a closet, bring it in. It'll get back on a court.
Donated racquets and grip equipment are restrung and regripped free of charge before being donated to program participants.
We're a local shop. Walk-ins welcome. If you have questions before you come in, give Al a call.
